Bally Casino Completes Soft Launch, Enters Pennsylvania Market

According to an email sent to a small group of customers, Bally Casino is officially open as the most recent PA online casino.

There has been speculation that multiple internet casinos will enter the PA market in 2023. The statement claimed that the company is offering exclusive access to select consumers and is yet to be wholly operational, implying that Bally’s launch is imminent.

With the addition of Bally’s, Pennsylvania has become one of the most diversified states, with 20 online casino sites to select from.

About the Bally Casino PA Soft Launch

Bally Online Casino PA has yet to announce an official launch date in Pennsylvania. Sure, clients have “been granted early access” to join up for services and take benefit of promotional offers.

“While we’ll be opening 24/7 public access soon,” Bally states in the email, “your exclusive early access pass allows you to experience our unmatched casino thrills early throughout the following times.”

Earlier this week, some Pennsylvania online casino gamblers got access to the app. Bally’s “soft launch” concludes on June 7.

It is still being determined when Bally Casino will be open to the public in Pennsylvania. We will post updates as they become accessible.

How Bally’s Got into the Pennsylvania Online Casino Market

Bally Casino petitioned for a PA license as a Qualified Gaming Entity (QGE). The QGE permits out-of-state operators to seek for an iGaming license without forming a partnership with a land-based casino.

On January 3, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) launched QGE applications, and Bally was the first to apply.

The PGCB approved Bally Casino’s petition to open in Pennsylvania on March 22.

The latest online casino will only include slots and table games, no poker.

Bally’s online casino is distinct from the land-based casino that is attempting to open near Penn State’s campus. A number of cases have been filed involving the winning bidder, SC Gaming, the losing bidder, Stadium Casino, and the PGCB. According to the most recent developments, a PA court refused both parties’ stay petitions, and the Commonwealth Court will hear the case until a later date.

Bally’s online casino debut was unaffected by the current verdict.

There are already 20 Online Casinos in Pennsylvania

When Bally Casino opens, Pennsylvania will have 20 online casinos, ranking second among states that allow them. Players in New Jersey have 32 distinct possibilities.

Tropicana Casino PA, operated by Caesars, was the most recent online casino to open its doors last month.

Bally’s will be one of the initial online gambling establishments to launch without a partnership with a land-based casino, thanks to the QGE application. PlayLive! Casino is the only other online platform that debuted before its land-based counterpart.

In Pennsylvania, Bally Casino joins a crowded but wealthy sector of online casinos. The Keystone State has recently set new revenue records, yet there is still room for growth:

  • October 2022: $151.7 million
  • November 2022: $155.9 million
  • December 2022: $166.9 million
  • January 2023: $160.3 million
  • February 2023: $162.3 million
  • March 2023: $181.5 million
  • April 2023: $167.2 million
