Red Rake Gaming, a Spanish firm that creates online slots and other games, has teamed with DraftKings Casino to deliver its content in two US states. While Red Rake is considering expanding into a third US state, the company also has prospects outside of DraftKings.
Red Rake Announces Collaboration with DraftKings Casino
A press statement issued Tuesday shows that Red Rake has agreed to have its “casino games integrated into DraftKings’ platform.” Initially, DraftKings Casino users in New Jersey and Pennsylvania will have access to these games.
Red Rake has been creating online casino material since 2011. It holds licenses in Europe, including Greece, Malta, Romania, the United Kingdom, and Ontario. In September 2023, Red Rake got a Pennsylvania gaming license. Its license in New Jersey is still pending.
Red Rake named Michigan an expansion target for its US operations in its statement. Red Rake has not released any precise information regarding whether or not it has applied for licensure there or what the status of the application is.
As a result, DraftKings Casino players are probably going to have the opportunity to try Red Rake online slots among all US residents. DraftKings may not be the only location where Pennsylvanians can do so for an extended period of time.
There May Be More Distribution To Come
The content distribution partnership between Red Rake and DraftKings is unlikely to be exclusive. Red Rake is likely to collaborate with other Pennsylvania online casinos.
DraftKings Casino is an obvious choice for an initial partner in the United States. It is one of the market leaders in New Jersey, and evidence suggests the same in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
However, most new casino content providers in the United States eventually joined with several of DraftKings Casino’s competitors, which boosted their options for generating revenue from their items.
Along with achieving distribution in Michigan and New Jersey, Red Rake is likely to collaborate with other operators in addition to DraftKings. Similar collaborations may be announced soon.
Whether DraftKings Casino users in Connecticut and West Virginia can play Red Rake online slots is still being determined. The revenue potential in these states is much lower compared to the three aforementioned states.
As a result, Red Rake is likely to concentrate on making its online slots some of the most popular games in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania for the time being. That initiative begins with DraftKings and will soon expand to other online casino brands.
